Danielle asked Decorating Den:
“In a small house, should the kitchen and bathroom flooring match because of their close proximity?”
Sue had this to say:
As a general rule of thumb, in a smaller home, if you can have the same flooring style throughout the house – or in the same color family – you would enjoy a broader expanse of color/texture, which would help to give your space more continuity and flow. By having flooring differ from room to room in a smaller home, you are actually calling more attention to the smaller size of the space/rooms.
