Reader Bety had a question regarding her outdated bathroom:

“My newly purchased house was built in 1947 and has those small pinky/salmon bathroom tiles!! What color paint can I use for the walls? I tried green to match a white / green/ pink shower curtain but it looks terrible. I can’t afford to re-tile at this time.”

Many paint manufacturers like Sherwin William, have websites specific for coordinating colors. So if you can identify your bathroom tile color with a specific color chip from the Sherwin Williams pallete, you can obtain coordinating colors for that chip.

Typically with Salmon, you might want to consider an aqua marine where there is more blue in the green. Consider the combination of SW 6331 Smoky Salmon with SW 6768 Gulfstream. This is a well coordinated color of salmon and aquamarine like colors. Click here to use the Color Visualizer.
